Game Informer reported on Sept. 29, 2026, that tropical storms and hurricanes are part of Leonida's weather. Rockstar's VP of art for lighting and rendering told the magazine the weather system was re-engineered to make everything "much more localized and persistent," but Rockstar has not said how often storms hit or how they affect play.

Leonida borders a state called Gloriana
The name Gloriana is printed on license plates in two of Rockstar's official screenshots, Vice City 09 and Lucia Caminos 03, so Gloriana exists in GTA 6's world.
