GTA 6 characters and cast: everyone Rockstar has revealed so far

Rockstar Games has profiled eight characters for Grand Theft Auto VI: the two leads, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, and six people around them in Leonida. All eight got official bios on Rockstar's site when Trailer 2 came out on May 6, 2025.

The story starts, in Rockstar's words, "when an easy score goes wrong," and pulls Jason and Lucia into "a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida." Below is each character, summarized from Rockstar's bios with one line quoted from each, followed by the other names Rockstar has used and what is known about the voice cast. Short version on the cast: nobody has been credited.

Jason Duval

Jason grew up around grifters, served in the Army, and now works for drug runners in the Leonida Keys. What he wants is an easier life. Brian Heder, an old-school Keys drug runner, lets him live rent-free in return for help with shakedowns.

His bio sums him up: "Jason wants an easy life, but things just keep getting harder." Rockstar's Ultimate Edition text also names two of his belongings, his Girardi ES9 pistol and his Vapid Ganado pickup. More on Jason Duval's page.

Lucia Caminos

Lucia has been a fighter since she was a small child. She is recently out of the Leonida Penitentiary and determined to make smart moves from here on. Her family's past is in Liberty City.

"Lucia's father taught her to fight as soon as she could walk," her bio begins. Rockstar's Ultimate Edition text also names her Klose K17 pistol. More on Lucia Caminos's page.

Cal Hampton

Cal is Jason's friend and, like Jason, an associate of Brian's. He is paranoid and a homebody who likes to stay in and listen to Coast Guard radio.

Rockstar's line: "Cal feels safest hanging at home, snooping on Coast Guard comms". More on Cal Hampton's page.

Boobie Ike

Boobie is a Vice City street legend who turned his reputation into a business. His interests include real estate, a strip club and a recording studio, and he is a partner in the label Only Raw Records.

His bio warns: "Boobie's all smiles until it's time to talk business." More on Boobie Ike's page.

Dre'Quan Priest

Dre'Quan is an aspiring music mogul and Boobie's partner at Only Raw Records. He is the one who signed Real Dimez to the label.

Rockstar's line: "Dre'Quan was always more of a hustler than a gangster." More on Dre'Quan Priest's page.

Real Dimez (Bae-Luxe and Roxy)

Real Dimez is a rap duo, Bae-Luxe and Roxy, who are also social media stars. The two had an early hit with a local rapper called DWNPLY and are now signed to Only Raw Records.

Their bio opens: "Bae-Luxe and Roxy aka Real Dimez have been friends since high school". More on Real Dimez's page.

Raul Bautista

Raul is a veteran bank robber who puts crews together and keeps an eye out for new recruits. His bio also says his recklessness raises the stakes.

Rockstar calls him "a seasoned bank robber always on the hunt for talent." More on Raul Bautista's page.

Brian Heder

Brian is an old-school drug runner in the Keys who has a boat yard. He is the one who lets Jason live rent-free in exchange for help with shakedowns, and he is on his third wife, Lori.

His bio calls him a throwback: "Brian's a classic drug runner from the golden age of smuggling in the Keys." More on Brian Heder's page.

Rockstar has named a few more people without giving them bio pages:

The Goodtime State: Vice City Collection is a merchandise box, not a game edition.

Tommy Vercetti: referenced, not announced

Rockstar's GTA 6 text mentions Tommy Vercetti, but only through items:

• The Vintage Vice City Pack pre-order bonus includes a palm tree weapon pattern "inspired by Tommy Vercetti's iconic palm tree button-up".
• The Ultimate Edition's Hawk & Little Morgan Revolvers are "sourced from the Vercetti Estate".

Rockstar has not announced that Tommy appears in the game, and it has not announced any returning characters.

Jason and Lucia: relationship and switching

Rob Nelson, head of development and co-studio head at Rockstar North, explained how the pair works in interviews with IGN published Aug. 27.

• Switching. IGN's preview says you can swap between Jason and Lucia at almost any time, or play with the two of them together.
• The relationship is optional. "It's not something that we want to foist upon players," Nelson said. You build it by spending time together, "playing pool or mini golf or kayaking; normal slice of life things," as well as robbing stores or banks together, texting, holding hands and holding doors.
• They stay partners either way. "They will remain partners in crime," Nelson said. Whether you nurtured the relationship affects how their story plays out. IGN adds that a strong relationship gives no gameplay benefit and that you cannot break the pair up.
• Why two leads. Nelson told IGN that after GTA V the team debated more protagonists ("Is it four characters now?") before choosing two characters in a relationship.

Voice actors: nobody is credited

Rockstar has not named any cast member, including the actors behind Jason and Lucia. As IGN put it on Sept. 14, "Rockstar has yet to confirm any GTA 6 actors."

Actor Stephen Root told the Associated Press that he is in the game, but he did not say which character he plays. Claims online that link him to Brian Heder are fan guesses, not confirmed.
