WAiNK

The car scanner app on GTA 6's in-game phone. Rob Nelson of Rockstar North told IGN it shows a car's locks, alarms and trackers, its resale value and its registration cost.

IGN, reporting Game Informer's Sept. 29 cover story, names the phone's car-scanning app WAiNK and says stolen cars go to a fence.

Rob Nelson, co-studio head at Rockstar North, described the scanner in an interview with IGN published Aug. 27: "We also now have this scanner as a part of the phone." He said it shows a car's locks, alarms and trackers, along with its resale value and registration cost.

Nelson also told IGN that some parked cars need tools you unlock later, such as a key cloner or a Slim Jim. More in our gameplay guide and our roundup of the Game Informer cover story.
