Wildlife tracking
You can track certain animals in GTA 6, categorized as Rare, Discoverable and Legendary, Game Informer reports, and VICE says wildlife can be studied and logged on a checklist.
Game Informer's Sept. 29, 2026, report on Leonida's more than 170 animal species says you can track certain animals categorized as Rare, Discoverable and Legendary, and that Rockstar is keeping the identities of these harder-to-find animals secret.
VICE's Oct. 7 summary of IGN's interview with Rob Nelson, co-studio head at Rockstar North, adds that you can study wildlife and log the animals you examine on a checklist, as in Red Dead Redemption 2. Rockstar has not said which animals fall into each category. Every species named so far is on our animals page.
